Kenya at a Watershed Moment in 2027
Kenya, including Kitui, is entering a generational transition in politics. The next chapter belongs to leaders prepared to connect economic empowerment with sustainable development.
Whoever has eyes that see will realise that we are in a transition period in Kenyan politics. Power is moving from one generation to another: from old King Saul to young King David, and from the Railas and Oburus to the Sifunas and Babu Owinos. That transition will also happen in Kitui County.
New and young leaders like Kitui Senator wa GenZ are rising up. They will rise with their own political party, one that meets their needs for economic empowerment and sustainable development.
Our grandparents had KANU to fight for independence between 1963 and 2002. Our parents took over with NARC, ODM-Kenya, and WIPER to fight for the fruits of multipartism from 2002 to date. It is now our turn as GenZ to take over the mantle of leadership between 2027 and 2067 with the United Green Movement Party (UGM), fighting for the economic empowerment of GenZ and the sustainable development of Kitui.
Why UGM? Because it is the only national party with international affiliates among other Green parties across the world, whom we can partner with to access billions in climate finance under Article 9 of the Paris Agreement on climate change. That climate finance can help our GenZ government raise Kitui's development budget from KSh 5 billion per year to over KSh 55 billion.
No other party, even WIPER, can help us in this way except UGM. Kitui Senator wa GenZ is moving us from parochial tribal politics to the geopolitics of Green parties in international politics. Akili mtu wangu! Change before change changes you.
